Meet Dr. Loetscher

“Hello. I’m Dr. Andy Loetscher. I’m an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. And I’ve been practicing here in Atlanta since the early 1990s. Actually, I grew up in the Midwest in a small town in Iowa…Dubuque, Iowa. And I went to a couple of Big Ten schools, University of Iowa, where I went to dental school.

I did my whole surgery training at Ohio State. So, in the 1990s, when I moved here to Georgia, I came down here excited to start a new life, got married. I’ve got two young daughters. When I’m not working, I play some tennis.

I’ve always been a craftsman and building furniture and projects like that. I love what I do. And so, kind of, limits what your hobbies do when you like your job so much. What’s really cool about my job is actually I still enjoy it after all these years.

There’s a great specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery. And I’ve actually narrowed it down to three areas of our practice: wisdom teeth, dental implants, and orthognathic surgery. We’ve got a really good group of people here.
